Instead of fighting it out in Denver for a house under $500,000 this weekend, you could just go buy the $350,000 ghost town of Cabin Creek.
Actually, probably not. "It’s been difficult to find a successor because of issues with financing," reports the Denver Post.
Owner James Johnson loves the little town that Colorado forgot after the advent of Interstate 70 in the 1970s, but he bought the place when his "had no grey in it," he told the paper. Now he's hoping that someone else can finish restoring it.
"His ideal buyer will need enough funding to purchase Cabin Creek mortgage free and have the devotion to keep the town afloat and to restore it to its former glory."
Maybe it could be the next big cannabis resort? I don't know, the restoring-a-ghost-town-to-its-former-glory business seems to be slow.
