Snow packed roads covered nearly all metro Denver early this morning. Most areas got 2-3 inches of snow overnight. CDOT says plows are out right now and that they're going to plow sidestreets this time.
In the meantime, schools are delayed:
- Denver Public Schools: 2-hour delay
- Jeffco Public Schools: 2-hour delay
- Douglas County School District: 1 1/2-hour delay
- Littleton Public Schools: 2-hour delay
- Adams 12 Five Star Schools: 2-hour delay
- Adams County School District 14: 2-hour delay
- Cherry Creek School District: Elementary schools delayed 1 hour; Middle and high schools delayed 1 1/2 hours
Forecasters say that less than one more inch of additional accumulation is slated for today. Metro Denver is under a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service until 2 p.m.
