A ghostly woman dressed in white cries out for her children. A headless horseman rides through town carrying his own head. Unexplained lights flash across the night sky and suddenly disappear.
These tales have persisted through generations because telling stories that keep us up late at night is a timeless tradition and favorite pastime of ours here at Denverite.
That's why we're veering into scary territory with "Denverfright: Tales of the Strange and Unusual with Denverite." We invite you to join us for a night of frightful stories and tales of the beyond at the Bug Theater (3645 Navajo St.) on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 6:30-8 p.m.
We'll be joined by local storytellers Manuel Aragon, Josh Schlossberg, Lindsay King-Miller and D.L. Cordero. These four talented individuals will tell culturally relevant tales of the frightening, the unexplained and the weird.
Ryan Warner, from Colorado Matters, will also join us to tell a chill-inducing tale about his Denver home.
So save the date, get your tickets here and we'll see you at the theater ... if you dare.
Denverfright is on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 6:30-8 p.m. Tickets are $10 plus fees and are available for sale online.
